Supporting Pathways to Healthy Aging in African Americans

Nov 30, 2023. As part of a growing relationship between the Rutgers-Newark Aging & Brain Health Alliance and Eli Lilly & Company, Dr. Mark A. Gluck of the Center for Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience was joined by Delores Hammonds and Glenda Wright, two Community Brain Health Educators, for a trip this past week to the Lilly corporate headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana. Eli Lilly & Company is the largest pharmaceutical company in the country and a leader in developing new drugs for Alzheimer’s Disease. Gluck, Hammonds, and Wright were hosted by Lilly’s Diversity & Inclusion and Patient Engagement division, who are seeking their advice on how to increase enrollment of African Americans into ongoing and future clinical trials of new investigational drugs for Alzheimer’s disease.
